Stephen A. Bilby, General Manager, is an industry veteran with over 15 years of experience, all based in San Antonio.  As the new General Manager for the destination management division of The CE Group, he is responsible for Destination: San Antonio, Destination: Austin, and will look to grow the destination management company in Houston, as well.

Stephen brings a long resume of working with corporate and association clients in bringing their events and meetings to San Antonio.  His background includes hotels, convention & visitors bureau, catering and of course, destination management. He has served on boards and countless committees with MPI (Meeting Professionals Internationals), PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association) and many other industry related organizations.  As an industry veteran, he has traveled all over the country working with customers to bring them their next great “experience.”

Maryam Fernandez, Senior Manager of Events and Business Development. Maryam is a lifelong Austinite and comes to us with years of experience in events and the hospitality industry. Maryam is a highly motivated professional whose enthusiasm and passion for her work is contagious. Her strength in building relationships has produced successful outcomes for the many organizations that she has represented.

Natalie Mendoza, Events Manager. Originally from San Antonio, and a graduate of The University of the Incarnate Word, Natalie comes to the CE Group with experience in both Catering and Event Planning. As an Event Coordinator for the past two years, Natalie has gained experience and reputation as a great event manager and leader. Her creativity, passion and attention to detail are just a few of the many assets Natalie brings to Destination Austin.

Julie Trevino, CTC - Account Executive, is originally from Wisconsin, however, has been in San Antonio and in the tourism industry for over twenty-three years.  Having experience in sales, planning and operations, Julie enjoys all aspects of Destination Management.  Meeting the clients on-site and seeing how much they enjoy our beautiful city makes her job even more rewarding. 

Tammy Hill - Operations Director, has been in the industry for twelve years.  She managed a boutique inn on the Riverwalk, where she accommodated every aspect of her guests’ needs including conducting small group meetings and activities for them during their visit to San Antonio.  She is certified in Food Safety as she planned and prepared breakfasts and luncheons for her groups.  Tammy was transferred with the company to El Tropicano Hotel, which gave her the opportunity to learn another aspect of the hospitality industry.  Client relations are something in which Tammy excels.  At Destination: San Antonio, she is not only operating our groups, but also is developing and maintaining vendor and client relationships in our industry.
