FREDERICKSBURG

Fredericksburg, settled over 150 years ago by German immigrants, is located in the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. With wide streets lined with picturesque homes and buildings, that Old World charm still exists. Fredericksburg is home to numerous natural and historical parks, and its historic district provides guests with a view into her past. Fredericksburg's quaint shops have something for every taste. Our tour will include lunch at one of the local favorite restaurants and one of the following venues at no additional charge. Your selection must be made at the time you decide to offer this tour.

1. The Admiral Nimitz Historical Park and Museum of the Pacific War is dedicated to everyone who served in the Pacific War. The George Bush Gallery of the Pacific War, the Plaza of the Presidents, and the History Walk of the Pacific War are all part of the park.

2. Pioneer Museum Complex is located on approximately 3.5 acres and has ten separate structures. It contains superb examples of early German structures and artifacts.

3. Jeep Collins Jewelry Workshop. Guided tours are available where you can watch skilled craftsmen create jewelry. After the tour you will visit the visitors' center and retail shop.

4. The Butterfly Ranch is an active working butterfly ranch specializing in Monarch and native butterflies. Located in the historic Loeffler-Weber House, guests can witness the beginning of the butterfly life cycle as butterflies lay eggs on larval plants in the brood cages. Visit the green house that is used to raise butterflies from eggs.
